Frank McGowan - Executive Producer/Creative Director/CEO

Frank is the co-founder and CEO of Bad Pony Media UK Productions, and the executive in charge of production on a range of television and multi-platform projects. In addition to his work with Bad Pony Media Productions, he is an accomplished film-maker, director, music video producer, entrepreneur, community leader, editor, and musician. His favourite genre of music is rock, and he has a lifelong passion for classic television shows from the 1950s to the 1990s, as well as horror cinema — including films such as Night of the Living Dead by George A. Romero. His favourite film of all time is Ghostbusters II, and his favourite TV show is The Munsters Today, the 1980s revival of the classic 1964 sitcom The Munsters.

Frank is also the co-founder of Braw TV Studios, North Glasgow Creative, and Charlie Gibson Publishing. He serves as a board member for Carnival Arts Scotland, Leonard Cheshire Disability, Sunny Govan Radio, and the community regeneration project Spirit of Springburn in North Glasgow. He is also a mentor with Business Gateway, Founders4Schools, and Enterprise Nation.

Michelle - Executive Producer/Co-Founder/Pfoducer

Michelle is co-founder of Bad Pony Media and an accomplished writer, producer, and published author. Her work includes the acclaimed TV drama series Ninety Eight Percent, the comedy Idiots' Guide to Becoming a Film Maker, and the powerful gothic horror novel Evil Is... — part of the Evil Series published by Olympia Books London.

She began her creative journey back in 2008 after studying creative industries at college. She has been frontwoman of Scottish female-fronted indie rock band Eric and the Bunny Boilers since 2002 (the band, originally named 'Eclectic' formed at high-school in 1997). Her favourite genre of music is rock, and she enjoys spending time with friends in Glasgow, as well as working on new ideas for creative content — including poetry, spoken word, and short stories.

Stephen Alexander - Executive Assistant

Stephen grew up in Essex and returned to Glasgow after studying hospitality management. His passions include film, media, television, and celebrity news, and he was nominated for the Young Scot of the Year Award in both 2021 and 2022 for his fiction and poetry writing. He began working with Bad Pony Media in 2019 and rejoined the team in 2023.

Now living between New York and Glasgow, Stephen works virtually with the main production team, coordinating an eclectic mix of productions — from series drama to factual entertainment. He is passionate about people, heritage, culture, the arts, history and of putting Scotland on the map for creativity.

Emma Newlands - Community Broadcast Manager

Emma is the newest member of Bad Pony Media. A dedicated student and recent graduate with an MSc in Clinical Health Psychology (with additional merit in research), her focus is on community, health, and wellbeing. She brings a wealth of experience in event organisation, research practices, and meaningful engagement with the third sector on issues that matter — from academic papers to public health investigative documentaries.

Emma is also an accomplished presenter, story editor, and documentary associate producer, having worked with the University of Glasgow’s School of Health and Wellbeing, as well as a range of charities in and around North Glasgow.

Emma is a board member of Carnival Arts Scotland and of the recently re-formed Bad Pony Creative, the Bad Pony Media not-for-profit community engagement company.

Geo Wright - Producer, Photographer and Video Editor

Geo Wright is a UK media professional based in Glasgow, known for his dynamic work as a producer, journalist, photographer, and content creator. He is the founder and owner of Wright Media, a creative agency specialising in photography, visual journalism, and digital content production.

Geo also serves as a producer with Bad Pony Media, with a diverse portfolio that reflects his commitment to compelling storytelling across platforms — blending journalistic integrity with visual artistry and design.

During his career as a Picture Editor at News International, Geo worked with major picture agencies around the world, sourcing images and video for mainstream media outlets, including The Guardian. He has worked with a wide range of individuals — from victims of serious crime to high-profile celebrities. He is highly skilled in journalism, photojournalism, Adobe Photoshop, newspapers, Lightroom, and Adobe Premiere Pro, and is a graduate of City of Glasgow College.

Ron Green - Props and Effects

Ron Green is an accomplished, multi-award-winning mixed media artist, set designer, props maker, and presenter based in Glasgow. He is known for his innovative approach to creativity in support of visual storytelling.

Ron’s work spans multiple disciplines — including sculpture, painting, and performance — often blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary themes. As an on-camera presenter for platforms such as Look Up on Amazon Prime and Braw TV Studios, he engages audiences by sharing insights into his creative process, the narratives behind his work, and Glasgow’s unique and distinctive city architecture.

His multifaceted career reflects a deep commitment to exploring the intersections of art, design, and communication. Although now “retired” from major commercial work, Ron continues to take on projects that are creatively rewarding, where he can pass on his skills to a new generation of up-and-coming talent across all art forms.

Jade was a passionate and gifted media professional whose creativity, warmth, and talent left a lasting mark on everyone she worked with. As the founder of Bonnie Media, Jade carved out a respected name for herself in Scotland’s creative industries, championing diverse stories and voices through digital content, documentary, and community-led media. She was also a former Miss Galaxy and Miss Scotland.

A beloved presenter and associate producer with Bad Pony Media since 2021, Jade brought authenticity, heart, and humour to every project she touched. Her on-screen presence was magnetic, and her behind-the-scenes work was marked by tireless dedication and deep care for the people and stories she helped bring to life.

Her legacy lives on in the projects she helped shape, the young creatives she mentored, and the countless communities she empowered through storytelling. She was more than a colleague — she was a friend, a trailblazer, and an inspiration.
